My name is Alejandro Plasencia —I'm an industrial designer based in Berlin. I focus on the thoughtful creation of material objects.
In 2024 I established my own practice as an independent creative, after nine years working within several companies in Germany and Spain.
Now I draw upon this honed experience, offering all-round industrial design services and bringing objects to life.

BIOGRAPHY
Born in the Canary Islands, in 2008 I moved to Madrid to study Architecture. Still a student, and working at a design consultancy, I found myself drawn to designing objects. This new path led me to Barcelona, where I enrolled at Elisava to learn the crafts of making and manufacturing.
Upon completing a Bachelor's in Industrial Design, I spent time at several studios and a furniture brand, before joining BQ in 2017. At this tech company, my intention was to design honest, yet affordable products. Over four years, I worked on both in-house and external client projects.
I then joined the Braun Design Studio in Frankfurt. For three years, I focused on bringing delight into people’s daily habits, whilst upholding the timeless principles of the company. It's known for its legacy of functional and beautiful objects that remain relevant today. Building on this background, I began working as an independent designer in 2024.
