My name is Alejandro Plasencia —I’m an industrial designer based in Berlin. I focus on the careful design of material objects.
In 2024 I established my independent practice, after nine years working within companies in Germany and Spain. Now I draw on this experience to design and bring objects into form.

BIOGRAPHY
Born in the Canary Islands, in 2008 I moved to Madrid to study Architecture. Whilst still studying, I worked at a design consultancy, where I realised I was more drawn to designing objects than buildings. This took me to Barcelona, where I enrolled at Elisava to learn the crafts of making and manufacturing.
After finishing a Bachelor's in Industrial Design, I spent time at several studios and a furniture brand, before joining BQ in 2017. At this tech company, my intention was to design affordable yet honest objects. Over four years, I worked on both in-house and external client projects.
I then joined the Braun Design Studio in Frankfurt. For three years, I designed products we use daily, whilst upholding the timeless principles of the company. It's known for its legacy of functional and beautiful objects that remain relevant today. Building on this background, I began working as an independent designer in 2024.
